Q: Where are your products made?
A: All of our products are made in the U.K.

Q: Are your products vegan?
A: Yes, each one is registered with The Vegan Society

Q: Do you offer free samples?
A: We do not offer free samples, but you can find our 10g trial sizes in the Minis section.

Q: Do you test on animals?
A: No, we are certified Cruelty Free and our products carry the Leaping Bunny logo.

Q: Which of your deodorants should I buy?
A: We almost always recommend that everyone starts with Clean Deodorant Balm. It’s a wonderful all-rounder. If your skin is very sensitive OR you know you cannot use Sodium Bicarbonate, please go for Gentle Deodorant Cream. We always recommend purchasing a Mini before a full-size pot.

Q: How does it work?
A: Our deodorants contain antibacterial ingredients that prevent odour causing bacteria from forming. By doing this so effectively we ensure that your underarms remain fresh all day.

Q: How do I use the balm?
A: After showering/bathing rub a small amount onto dry, clean underarm skin.

Q: Is it safe to use whilst pregnant?
A: We recommend the Gentle Deodorant Cream Coconut + Shea (Unscented) for pregnancy and breastfeeding because it does not contain any essential oils.

Q: How do I store the balm?
A: Store it in the original pot, in a cool dry place, out of direct sunlight.

Q: The product I want is out of stock, when will it be back?
A: If your desired product is out of stock, please send us an email with an exact product name (range and scent) and we will let you know when it will be back. Alternatively, you can check out retailers on our Where To Buy page.

Q: My balm feels weird – what’s happened?
A: It sounds like the active ingredients have sunk to the bottom. This happens occasionally because we purposely do not use any binding agents in our deodorants. See the advice in the next question.

Q: What should I do if it melts or separates?
A: If your balm melts or separates, take a clean dry implement and thoroughly stir the mixture, then place in the freezer for around an hour. If you live in a cold climate and your balm hardens in low temperates, just pop the bottom of the pot in a warm sink of water.

Q: Does the balm go off?
A: If the deodorant remains unopened, it will last for two years. After opening the product lasts for one year. With daily use a full size pot should last for more than two months, so you’ll never come anywhere close to the use-by date.

Q: My skin was irritated by your deodorant balm. Why could this be?
A: Even with 100% natural products, some skin types can become irritated. In the case of our natural deodorants it is often down to whether a person can tolerate Sodium Bicarbonate. This is a mineral salt we use in our products as an effective antibacterial. It is slightly alkaline and occasionally causes redness by affecting skin pH. Discontinue use if this occurs and send us a message via email or our contact form. We will be able to help you find the right product for your skin type. It’s very important to take advantage of our Mini sizes for this reason. Gentle Deodorant Cream does not contain Sodium Bicarbonate.

Q: Can I apply the deodorant after shaving?
A: We advise patch testing before doing so. Skin is at its most sensitive post-shave and this could leave to irritation. If you tend to have sore underarms following shaving, it might be wise to leave for a few hours and then apply. Our Gentle Deodorant Cream is almost always fine for use after shaving, but it’s still best to patch test to be sure.

Q: I have a nut allergy, can I use your balm?
A: As one of the ingredients in our balm is coconut oil we would have to recommend speaking to your Doctor before using. Interestingly, the coconut is a member of the palm family and is only a distant relative to the tree nut. The botanical distance between coconuts and tree nuts would suggest that people with tree nut allergies could in fact tolerate coconut.

Q: I’m looking for an antiperspirant, is this for me?
A: Our deodorants do not inhibit perspiration because we believe sweating is normal and important. However, many customers report that over time they sweat significantly less. This could be due to allowing your body to regulation sweat production without blocking the pores.


We know a lot of you have been eagerly waiting the release of our deodorant spatulas, so we’ve covered a few of the most frequently asked questions.

Q: How long will my spatula last?
A: The truth is, it varies depending on how often you use it, and how you use it. When it’s time to replace it, the spatula will appear less smooth and may look worn.

Q: How do I use my deodorant spatula?
A: Before each use be sure to wash the spatula with a gentle hand soap and dry thoroughly with a towel (exactly as you would do with your hands before application.)

Our deodorant spatulas are not designed to replace fingertip application! They are a tool for anyone who tends to find our deodorant balm/cream gets under their nails. This eliminates the risk of that happening.

Scoop the correct amount of product onto the spatula and smooth onto clean, dry fingertips before applying as usual. Fingertip application is the optimal way to apply our deos and we do not recommend applying the cream straight onto the underarm from the spatula.

Q: How should I store the spatula?
A: After using the deo spatula, wash with gentle soap and allow to air dry.

Q: Can I put the spatula back into the pot after use?
A: Since the spatula is being used as ‘another hand’, you can scoop enough for both underarms at once and transfer it onto your fingertips. Rub your fingertips together and then apply to each underarm as you would usually. If you use this method, there’s no reason to put the spatula into your deo more than once each application.

Please note: if you order a deo spatula along with a 55g jar, we will slot the spatula into the lid of the box to keep it safe in transit.

For UAE addresses, a PO Box address is mandatory. If this shipping destination is selected and a PO Box is not provided we will not be held responsible if the items do not arrive.

Q: How much does shipping cost?
A: Shipping is based on your location and parcel weight. Add your items to the basket and head to checkout to find out your shipping costs.

Your shipping options will be displayed at checkout and will offer one or more of the following:

Royal Mail Tracked for all UK orders

  • FREE for orders over £30
  • Usually 2-4 working days to any UK address including Channel Islands and Isle of Man.
  • Allow up to 7 working days for delivery.

International Standard

  • Standard delivery only.
  • Usually 7-14 working days.
  • Allow up to 21 working days for delivery.
  • Customs duties and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the customer.
  • If this shipping option is selected, we cannot accept liability for lost parcels.
  • Any undelivered items will have to be followed up with your local postal service.

DELAYED / LOST ORDERS: Our delivery service considers a parcel lost after it has been in the postal system for a period of 7 working days for UK orders, 14 working days to Europe and 21 working days for Worldwide orders. Though it is highly unlikely deliveries will take this amount of time, we are unable to provide a refund until this period of time has elapsed. The Natural Deodorant Co. is not responsible for any direct or indirect loss or damage incurred by a customer due to delayed or lack of delivery of goods regardless of the method of delivery.

RECIPIENT’S SIGNATURE: For security reasons, some deliveries may require a signature upon receipt of order. If you are unable to sign for your parcel, you should receive a card with written information on where and when you should collect it. If you do not collect your parcel within a specified timeframe (usually 7 days or after 3 delivery attempts), the parcel will be returned to us and you will need to arrange with us for a new delivery and pay for the costs incurred in resending the parcel.

Q: What is the status of my order?
A: Once you have completed your transaction were will send you a confirmation email, and when it ships you will receive a shipping notification. If you do not receive one of these you should have a PayPal email tool. We aim to dispatch all parcels within 3 working days. 

Q: My order has not arrived! What can you do?
A: If your order has not arrived within the timeframe listed above it’s important that you reach out to us straight away. Send us a message via the contact form with your order number and we will be able to check the status of your delivery. 

Q: My order has been returned to you because I didn’t get to the depot in time.
A: When this happens we will refund the order costs (minus shipping) once we have received the parcel back at the warehouse.

Q: What method of payment can I use?
A: PayPal or Card.

Q: I’ve just received my order and noticed the packing peanuts – are they plastic?
A: Our packing peanuts are made from non-GMO corn and can be recycled with food waste, compacted or dissolved in warm water.

Q: I want to return my order.
A: Please send us a message within 14 days of delivery with your order number and the reason for return. We will help you with your return.

Q: I purchased your product via one of your stockists- can I return it to you?
A: If you purchase our deodorants from one of our stockists, you will need to contact them to enquire about their refund or exchange policy.


Q. Will I have to pay import charges?

A: Customs charges / import duties are levied once the package reaches its destination country. Additional charges for customs clearance are the responsibility of the recipient. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be.

Customs policies vary wildly from country to country, so please contact your local customs office for further information.

If you choose not to pay the customs charges, your order will be returned to our warehouse. Once received and inspected we will refund product costs excluding all shipping fees.
